Procedural Terrain in a Few Clicks

I am working as a CG Artist and it's really hard to work on building a complete environment in Unity 3D from scratch. And that too when we are looking into creating open world large environments based on multiple instances of vegetation. That's when I heard about GAIA from one of my colleagues and I immediately downloaded it to experience the features. To my surprise this was beyond my expectations to any world builder or terrain generator.

I follow the basic documentation found inside the asset folder and within less than a 7 minutes. I was able to generate a beautiful landscape environment with trees, flowers, water, and that too optimized. The batches were really stable without even approaching any kind of optimization. But when we add up a little bit tweaking and stuff, we are good to go!

I have now planned to start learning GAIA completely and then continue using it for my workflow. Most of time, I have to create environments for mobile games and by the use of this incredible unity asset, my job becomes really easy. The best part of the whole experience was the asset is compatible with many other assets like Aura Volumetric Lighting. So it's definitely going to maximize your productivity, because that's what I am feeling right now.

The GAIA interface is also easy to use, once you get aware of the spawners and the working style of GAIA. You can spawn trees, flowers, grass, textures, and even work with the built in Water systems to create beautiful lakes, oceans, and Island type environments. GAIA also comes with a Post Processing Effects stack which can be used to enhance the quality of your scene. Adjusting the lights, color intensity, and tweaking with some color correction. That's it, You have an incredible open world environment ready to be used!
